President: Michael Durbin, PhD, PMP is a Senior Consultant with Daugherty Business Systems, and currently assigned to Express Scripts. Prior to this Michael was a Sr. Project Manager at Saint Louis University and an Adjunct Professor in the John Cook School of Business. Michael received his B.S. from Millikin University and his M.A. from the University of Illinois, both in the area of Management Information Systems. In 2013, Michael received his Ph.D. in Education Leadership from Saint Louis University. Currently, Dr. Durbin is an instructor at the Saint Louis University Workforce Center and a visiting professor for DeVry University and Keller Graduate School. Dr. Durbin has been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since July 1, 2007 and has worked in the Information Technology (IT) field, serving various roles, over the last 26 years. In addition to consulting, he has worked in several other industries including; consumer product goods, insurance, law, manufacturing, education, electrical engineering, and healthcare.
VP of Education:Trent Soldwish-Zoole is the Manager of Business Systems Analysis at Rabo Agrifinance. Filling a newly-created position designed to add rigor and process improvements, in his daily role, he serves as the champion of Business Analysis best practices modeled after the BABOK and learned from 20 years of project experience. In the role of VP of Certification, he plans to bring the same enthusiasm and set of experiences to assist chapter members in pursuit of their own professional credentials. For those of you who have met Trent, either through attending the recent BADD, attending one of the BA courses he teaches at Washington University through CAIT (The Center for Application of Information Technology), or just had a chance to get to know him at one of our chapter meetings or social event, you may agree that he is sociable, gregarious, and a dynamic speaker and eager to listen and collaborate on new ideas and initiatives. Trent has served in a variety of roles as Business Analyst or Project Manager, but started as a Systems Engineer where he led a development team in a manufacturing environment and holds the patent as the lead inventor. He has worked Telecommunications and Financial Services in the St. Louis area with A.G.Edwards/Wachovia/Wells Fargo, SBC/AT&T and Amdocs and consulted nationally with Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and Sprint.
VP of Professional Development:Barbara Brown, CBAP, CPHIMS has been doing business analysis for over 34 years, first as a systems engineer with IBM, later as the Director of Technical Services for Alliance Systems & Programming and currently as the Business Analysis Line of Service Lead for Daugherty Business Solutions. For over 25 years, she served as the program director for the Gateway/400 Group, including presenting to the group on various topics. In addition, she has presented at Common and other user groups across the country. Barbara recently achieved designation as a Certified Busienss Analysis Professional (CBAP) and Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS).
Secretary: Clifford W. Hayes II, has worked as a Business Analyst at JM Family Enterprises for 3 years with responsibilities including, new system design, requirements gathering, system support, system acceptance testing, user acceptance testing, workflow enhancement, and training. Cliff also serves as the relationship liaison for many differnt vendor partners and clients. Prior to joining JM Family as a Business Analyst, Cliff worked for 5 years in JM Family Enterprises Subsidiary Company, World Omni Financial Services LLC as a Collections Team Lead, and leter as a Recovery Collector. Cliff has a Masters in Business Administration from Lindenwood University.
Treasurer : Raygene Patterson, PMO, CBAP, CSM, is a Certified Project Manager, Business Analyst, and Trainer with more than 15 years of experience in information technology planning, analysis, design, development, and training. She has solid comprehensive skills and knowledge in business/software analysis and project management, obtained through various professional positions and certifications. Her professional and educational background includes: software/systems design and developmetn, project management, enterprise resource planning and organizational management, as well as other strategic business and project management knowledge and experience. Raygene has been certired by the IIBA as a CBAP since June of 2008; and is currently workign as a project manager and business analyst for KnowledgeLake, a SharePoint ECM solutions provider.
Past Treasurer : Trish Glaub, MBA, is currently a Senior Information Technology Professional with Daugherty Business Solutions. Trish has more than 20 years’ experience in applying technology to business situations to achieve optimal solutions. Her professional credentials include a BA in Education/English from Drury University, Management Certification from Washington University, and a Masters in Business Administration from Fontbonne University. She has worked in the financial, insurance, government, and not-for-profit industries; but her greatest strength is her expertise in the manufacturing industries. Her participation in organizing the first Business Analysis Development Day for our St. Louis chapter in October, 2011, is an example of the involvement she has offered our membership.
VP of Memberbship: Luke Garzia, CBAP, is currently the Banking Operations' Data Analyst for EverBank, an 18+ billion under assets bank. Prior to rotating into the Business Intelligence role, Luke spent 8 years as Product Manager of EverBank's Direct Banking Account Opening Systems. Luke's efforts through process redesign and automation improved efficiencies 100% in account opening. Luke's educational background is BS in Electrical Engineering from MST (formerly UMR) and a MS in Finance from SLU. His continual education includes learning multiple programming languages, BI tools, and Business Process Improvement techniques. Luke's earned his CBAP in 2011 and is relatively new to the St. Louis chapter of IIBA, but looks forward to helping the local chapter going forward.
VP of Sponsorship: Tim Conroy is currently a consultant for Epic EHR software implementations. Tim has been involved with Epic software for 3 years and has previously worked on Epic projects for Mercy Health and St. Anthony's Medical Center. Prior to his health care experince, Tim served as a Business Anayst in the telecommunications industry for over 10 years, with much of his experince at AT&T. At AT&T, Tim was an analyst for over 100 projects and was involved with many strategis IT systems, moves, adds and changes. Tim has been accepted to sit for the Certified Busienss Analyst Professional examination, and hopes to attain his CBAP certification by the end of 2013. This is also Tim's second appointment to a St. Louis professional organization board, as he served on the board for the American Society Training and Development (ASTD) St. Louis chapter in 2011.
Webmaster: Michelle Green is a Business Analyst Team Lead for JM Family Enterprises, Inc., a diversified automotive company ranked by Forbes as the 30th-largest privately held company in the U.S. It is also consistently ranked by FORTUNE as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For, and by Computerworld magazine as 100 Best Places to Work in IT. In her 16 years with with JM Family, Michelle has had the pleasure of watching the Business Analysis and Project Management disciplines grow and mature from the small test team pulled off the business floor into vital departments throughout the company’s lines of business. During her tenure with JM Family, Michelle has been the BA or PM for numerous projects, client conversions, and development efforts applying to all areas of automative financing and servicing. For “fun”, Michelle has designed and supports various websites from her husband’s handyman services business to private company contracts and her son’s local Boy Scout troop, where she serves as the Assistant Scoutmaster and Webmaster Mentor.
